Each one of the HenPals Chicken Nest Boxes are individually crafted by our family here on our rural Georgia U.S.A. farm and the 1,2,3, 4, and 6 hole nest boxes still feature my husband's original fold up wire and wood roost.
Our hens love this roost! Gives the girls something to wrap their toes around!
The nest boxes are made the old fashion American way
one at a time, through hard work.
All of the nest boxes are shipped fully assembled with the removable nest bottoms. Each nest box includes hooks for easy hanging.
Each chicken nest box is handcrafted from 26 gauge galvalume, an aluminum-zinc alloy coated sheet steel. The inside nest measures 10"X 12". Big enough for our large Light Brahma girls.

The added depth at the bottom adds security for the hen and keeps the eggs in the nest box.
The Chicken Nest Boxes are shipped either the same day or next day of order, Monday-Friday. They are shipped UPS Ground.

I have a webpage> Life on a Southern Farm about our farm and wrote about the hen nest boxes my husband had made. I received a lot of e-mails asking did we sell the nest boxes. My husband and I decided to look into making the nest boxes to sell on-line. He has made nest boxes for many years to sell at local livestock sells.
He knew the wooden roost would be a problem. The roost would either have to be shipped off the box or extended out causing the shipping price to be much higher due to a larger box.
He came up with a solution. He put a fold up roost on, 1 inch X 1 inch 14 gauge galvanize wire on 9 gauge rods. There is a wood strip attached(from our trees and sawed on the farm's sawmill). The roost can be folded up for easy shipment. Now we could ship fully assembled chicken nest boxes. Something that is hard to find.
